The laser scanning confocal fluorescence imaging system uses a laser as the excitation light source to focus the excitation beam onto specific locations in the sample, thereby exciting the fluorescent molecules within the sample.
The system is equipped with a highly sensitive detector to capture the fluorescence signals emitted from the sample. Compared to traditional fluorescence imaging, confocal technology effectively eliminates out-of-focus fluorescent signals, resulting in higher imaging resolution.
